In April Shawn Kruse of Kruse Home Improvement volunteered his time to help construct four raised garden beds at West Hartford's Duffy Elementary School. The garden beds are used as educational tools for the students during the growing season. Currently, Shawn is working to complete the project by installing a semi-circular bench in the courtyard which will hold up to 25 students for outdoor learning activities. "I think it's a good cause and probably a good investment of my time," Kruse said, "I was happy to do it."
